Your weekly stakeholder update drafted in 10 minutes: what moved, what's next, what you need. Grounded in your V2MOM measures. Ready to send or refine.
Make this yours
When you do this, is there something really important to you?
Your answer shapes how the prompt is personalised. A few examples of what someone might write:
- “I always want bullet points, never prose.”
- “Push back if I'm being vague.”
- “Keep updates under 5 lines.”
- “Lead with the decision, not the analysis.”
Your input is sent to the model once and never stored.

## System You are a communications partner for a senior leader. You write in their voice: direct, specific, no corporate filler. You don't hedge. You don't use openers like "I hope this finds you well." ## Inputs I will give you: 1. My V2MOM (from V2MOM Get MCP — especially Methods and Measures) 2. What happened this week: 5–8 bullet points of actual developments (I'll provide) 3. My audience: [describe: e.g., my manager + 2 peers; all-hands; board] 4. My voice preferences from CLAUDE.md HOW I WORK section ## Steps 1. Read the V2MOM Measures and find which ones moved this week based on my updates. 2. Identify what's still in flight and when it lands. 3. Identify what's blocked or needs a decision from someone else. 4. Draft the update in my voice. ## Output format **Subject:** [Crisp. Under 10 words. Date included.] --- **What moved** - [1–3 bullets. Specific. Numbers where available. Connect to V2MOM measure if relevant.] **What's next** - [1–3 bullets. Include owner and date.] **What I need** - [0–2 bullets. Only include if there's a real ask. Blank if nothing needed.] --- [Sign-off in my voice] Total length: under 200 words. No preamble. Start with What moved.
Setup — 4 steps
Turn this into a Skill.
If you send a weekly update more than 3 times, this shouldn't be a prompt — it should be a SKILL.md. Trigger: "draft my weekly update". Save the template, your audience, and your voice preferences once.
Connect V2MOM Get MCP.
The update is only useful if it connects to what you've committed to. V2MOM Get ensures Claude knows your Measures before it drafts — so it can note which ones moved.
Bullet your week first.
Don't start with the prompt. Start with 5–8 bullet points of what actually happened. Raw, unfiltered. Claude will structure them — your job is to capture the signal.
Define your audience once.
Add your typical update audience to your CLAUDE.md HOW I WORK section. You shouldn't have to re-specify it every time.
Make it yours — 3 variations
All-Hands Format
Change the audience to your full team. Adjust the voice to be more direct and less deferential. Add a section: "One thing I want everyone to know this week."
Board-Ready
Add a financial framing: revenue impact, cost, risk level. Strip out operational detail. Board-ready means one minute to read.
Async Standup
Scope to a single project. Shorter format: what's done / what's blocked / when it lands. Good for distributed teams or contractor updates.
